Tsudayu Takemoto III [1869-1941] is considered one of the three master gidayu narrators along with Tosadayu VI and Toyotake Yamashiro no Shojo. In bunraku, puppet theatre, the gidayu describes situations and speaks the dialogue. It is a powerful and dramatic vocal style expressing a range of emotions. These are old, precious recordings of classic repertoire by a true master.
