Harumi Miyako has been one of Japan's leading enka singers for many years. She made her first record in 1964 and has ever since remained a popular singer. During the early 1990s, she was touted as one of the great voices from Japan, performing at the WOMAD festival. Quite a range of different singers and styles on this album, including UA and Minyo Crusaders.
