Tembang Sunda is a Sundanese style of traditional music, the word tembang used to denote any vocal genre. Although related to Sundanese gamelan music it developed in relative isolation as an aristocratic music in Cianjur (located between Bandung and Jakarta) during colonial Dutch rule.
