Traditional music from North Sumatra. Simple, lively music played on handmade wooden xylophones, harps, flutes and drums. These include the instruments taganing (percussion), garantung (bamboo percussion), hasapi (stringed instrument). The songs accompany traditional dances and ceremonies.
