Yao Lee (born 1922) was one of the so called Seven Great Singing Stars of the 1930s-40s in China. From Shanghai, she was known for her soft, high vocals, which led to her nickname of Silvery Voice, and she had many hits. These include some with her brother and songwriter Yao Min, and the first track on this album Rose Rose I Love You, that was released in the US and UK credited to Miss He Lee and later recorded by Frankie Lane with lyrics in English.
