Excellent album of solo pieces composed for the Korean tea ceremony played on various Korean traditional wind instruments such as Daegeum (large bamboo transverse flute), Danso (vertical bamboo flute), Tungso (end-blown vertical bamboo flue), Piri (bamboo oboe) and Sogeum (small bamboo transverse flute). Lee Saeng-kang is a maestro of the daegeum, designated a Living National Treasure by the Korean government. In the 1960s he helped to turn the daegeum into a solo instrument, and has collaborated with western musicians for many years.
