Remastered version of Out of Noise, released in 2009. Newly remastered from the 'director's cut' version, with R added to the title. Includes previously the unreleased 081121_high. All iinstrumental work and Sakamoto's first original solo album without synthesizer. Piano and nature sounds, with guests including British ancient music group Fretwork, sho player Tamami Higashino, Gagaku and string player Koyokai Nanto, Keigo Oyamada, Hirotaka Shimizu, Ren Takada, Christian Fennesz, and Rob Moose. Includes "disko," "ice," and "glacier" influenced by his experiences in the Arctic Circle, which Sakamoto visited during the making of the album. The song "glacier" was later used in the movie "The Revenant" (directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu in 2016) while "hibari" and "hwit" were used in the movie "Monster" (directed by Hirokazu Koreeda in 2023).
