Kumiodori is the Okinawan traditional dance performed to Ryukyu classical music and dates back to 1719, when it was performed for Chinese diplomats visiting the old capital, Shuri. This DVD gives a guide to Kumiodori with eight songs performed by the best dancers and musicians from Dento Kumiuta Hozonkai (an association who preserve traditional Kumiuta).
