Product Description
NolenNiu-de-Ossi are a slightly wacky, highly entertaining duo playing traditional Japanese and western instruments featuring Yasushi Kita (guitar, shamisen, vocals) and Toruko on piano, accordion and vocals. Their name comes from an old Japanese proverb meaning, 'pushing through a curtain that has no resistance' which they interpret as 'going their own way'. Rhythmical, melodic and great fun. This is a live album, recorded in Nara on 27th July 2013, and features Takashi Toshimori on mandolin and nohkan flute player Kazunari Abe (ex Kodo).
