Hawaiian born giant Konishiki was the first foreign born sumo wrestler to make it to the highest ranks, although controversially he was never promoted to be a grand champion (yokozuna). Since cutting his sumo hair, he's become a celebrity and singer, and this is his first full scale Hawaiian album. Konishiki is not a bad singer at all, and somewhat surprisingly, this is an excellent album of contemporary Hawaiian music
