London based Miso Soup are four Japanese musicians who play post electro punk impro jazz rock dub- or something like that. They have long been playing well received underground gigs in London, gaining a good reputation for their improvised style, but this is their first album. Their influences from Art Ensemble of Chicago, Can, Velvet Underground, through to Toru Takemitsu and Haruomi Hosono gives a further clue to their eclectic sound.
