Tomiko Hattori (1917-1981) joined the Takarazuka Revue in the early Showa Period, and had a hit with 'Manchu Musume' during the war. She sung songs composed by Ryoichi Hattori, and had many hits including 'Sazae San'. Many of the tunes combined Japanese folk with influences from around such as rumba and other Latin rhythms.
