Album to celebrate 40 years since the debut of the highly influential band Happy End. City- Happy End Best Album was released in 1973, and this is a cover version of that album by artists who are fans of the group.
Happy End featured Haruomi Hosono, Takashi Matsumoto, Eiichi Ohtaki and Shigeru Suzuki and were one of the first groups to sing original rock music entirely in Japanese. They have even been called 'The Japanese Beatles' for the influence they had on subsequent music made in Japan.
