Kim Byungho is one of the major schools of gayageum sanjo. Gayageum is the zither instrument while sanjo is a style of traditional Korean music, whereby an instrumental solo is accompanied by janggu drum. Kim Byeongho Gayageum Sanjo is sometimes compared to pansori in its accents, vibrato and rhythm. Jinyangjo is the slowest rhythm (jangdan) used in pansori. Jungmori is also used in pansori and folk music, and is composed of 12 tempos, with one tempo a quarter note. Son Jeonghwa is an accomplished gayageum player whose career dates back to 2005.
