Wonderful album of three shakuhachi players. Beautifully played and recorded. Teruo Furuya (born 1949) studied under Katsuya Yokoyama and is one of the most respected shakuhachi players in Japan today, teaching at NHK Culture Centre, at universities and the international arm of Yokoyama's school, and has taught many foreign students of shakuhachi. Fudo is a cycle of five pieces, that were composed between 1965 and 1987.
