Bamboo from Asia are a group of Japanese musicians who, who as you might expect, play different bamboo instruments, from Japan, India, Indonesia, Thailand, China and other countries. They made their first record back in 1993, and this is only their third full album. It was well worth the wait and this is a high quality concoction of sounds, beautifully played and recorded. One of the few and best attempts to combine traditional instruments from eastern Asia together to form a coherant sound. Listen to samples of all nine tracks.
