First album from Misao Habu, one of the most exciting Tsugaru shamisen players around, and the first woman to win the all Japan title. On this album she plays solo, duo, trio and quartet. Most notable is singer 92 year old Fujiko Yanagita. Tsugaru shamisen has become known for it's fast solo passages, but was originally used to accompany singers, so this album goes back to the tradition's roots. Also features shakuhachi, taiko and keyboards on the final track.
