Paul Fisher of Far Side Music plays an alternative take on the Asian Underground. Like the Far Side catalogues, the music is mostly from the Far East and is unlike anything heard elsewhere. The coolest Japanese club and roots mixes, psychedelic Cambodian hits from the 70s, chugging rhythms of Thai morlam, funky Indonesian dangdut, and to chill out to, sublime Balinese gamelan electronica, beautiful Okinawan lullabies or ancient Vietnamese tunes sung by spinetingling good singers. Paul has dj'ed at festivals and events around the world and in London has played the ICA, Notting Hill Arts Club, Big Chill Bar, Darbucka, Spitz, Momo's and more, sometimes supporting Far Side artists. He has compiled several CDs and presents a weekly radio show on London's Resonance 104.4fm.
