First album from female singer and sanshin player from Yaeyama. Mayako was once a member of one of the reincarnations of Nenes, and this album was produced by Sadao China, who also composed four songs and plays sanshin and koto on several others. Mix of traditional songs, sung and played in a traditional way and those original songs, with some big productions featuring keyboards, guitars and drums and arranged by guitarist Yoshiro. Strangely enough the traditional songs sound fresh and relevant, while the modern ones a little dated. Nevertheless, great vocals throughout and a very welcome release from a talented musician.
