Nagauta, sometimes called the heart of kabuki music, features noh drums and flute (hayashi) alongside the shamisen. Fue, the seven holed bamboo flute, was used only as an accompanying instrument, until Sanzaemo Takara established the fue as a solo instrument. Six tracks.
