Fantastic album by pianist Tetsu Shioya and tsugaru shamisen player Hiromitsu Agatsuma. There have been many tsugaru shamisen collaborations but probably nothing quite as good as this, mainly because pianist Shioya has an understanding of Japanese folk music, his piano enhancing the shamisen not competing with it.
